The former treasurer of the southwest Missouri  community of Leawood has to find $373,500 dollars by 5 p.m. today or go to prison for 15 years.

The judge who sentenced Gene Paul Boyd a year ago had given him one year to repay $376,000 stole from the community. Officials say he has repaid $2,500 so far.

Newton County officials think he stole more than one-million dollars in the decade he was treasurer, but a lot of documents are missing.
