Textbooks at Grandview High School in Jefferson County will be electronic this fall. The eastern Missouri district has bought 400 electronic tablets.  The school principal tells the St Louis Post-Dispatch the tablets will enable teachers to teach at the level of students, who are attuned to electronic devices.

Students will be able to take notes, read textbooks, and take tests on the devices. The district says it spends about 330-dollars per student on textbooks. The electronic tablets cost about half that and can be loaded with low-cost or free materials from the internet.
