A Colorado prison inmate has pleaded guilty to a Springfield murder committed in 1982.
Richard Leroy Walker had been a suspect in the fatal stabbing of Angela Baskin but authorities couldn’t get enough evidence to charge him. The case broke open last year when Walker admitted to Springfield police that he had killed Baskin. Walker will be sentenced in August, then returned to Colorado where he’s serving time for a sex crime.
