The Joplin School District says it’s going to cost $151 million to repair or replace buildings hit by the May 22nd tornado. The district’s insurance company expects to determine if the high school is a total loss. The district says it is but insurance adjusters have not yet inspected the building.

Two schools adjacent to the high school are considered by the insurance company to be destroyed.
