After a 4-1 win earlier in the day against Oklahoma, the Missouri Tigers were setback 1-0 by Baylor in 13 innings as the Tigers were eliminated from the Women’s College World Series.

Redshirt sophomore pitcher Chelsea Thomas struck out 19, the second most in a Women’s College World Series game, while walking three and allowing seven hits. It was the last hit that was the dagger. Holly Holl hit the walk off home run in the bottom of the 13th inning to end the game in favor of the Baylor Bears, giving them the 1-0 edge. Holl connected on a Thomas’ 192 pitch of the night on an 0-2 count to keep the Bears’ season alive

Thomas finishes the season 32-8, tied for the most in a single season at Missouri. She also wrapped up the season with a school record 397 strikeouts and a 0.95 ERA, the best in all of Division I softball.

Mizzou wraps up their season with a 53-10 record overall and won their first WCWS game in 20 years.
