About three-fourths of the small southeast Missouri town of Silva has been damaged by a tornado.  Highway Patrol Trooper Clark Parrot says about 35 homes, barns, churches, and other buildings have been damaged.  It’s the second hit Silva has taken this spring.  Several weeks ago, the town incurred damage during a thunderstorm.

Two people suffered minor injuries in yesterday’s tornado and were taken to a hospital in Poplar Bluff.

Tornado damage also is reported in Fredericktown and Ellsinore
