Fast greens at Glen Echo Country Club made the difference today at the MWGA Women’s Senior Championship. Barbara Berkmeyer of St. Louis wins her record tenth Missouri Senior Women’s Championship title by two shots over Patty Robinson of Poplar Bluff, MO.
Going in to the eighteenth hole, Barbara and Patty were even, when Patty’s second shot landed in a greenside bunker. Patty double bogeyed the hole and Barbara sunk a putt for par. Janis Clemens of Sedalia shot a 78 in the rainy conditions to rally into third place. Pattie Canter of Glen Echo earned the Low Net Champion trophy with her two day total net score of 140.
