A judge has ordered a DNA test for a prison inmate sentenced in 1987 for sodomizing a woman in Kansas City. Inmate Pete Wright has maintained his innocence. The Innocence Project had asked the judge to approve the tests.

Wright was convicted on the basis of hairs matching the characteristics of Johnson’s hair found in the woman’s underwear, and a hair matching the woman’s found on his clothing.
