For a time, it looked like the St. Louis Cardinals would cruise to an easy win over the Cincinnati Reds on Friday night.  That would not be the case as the Cardinals can’t hold onto a four run lead in Cincinnati and the Reds come back to beat the Cardinals in 10 innings, 6-5.

Cards starter Kyle Lohse would hold the Reds scoreless until the 6th

Cincinnati would then get to the Redbird bullpen, tying the game in the 9th off Eduardo Sanchez.  MVP Joey Votto would drive in the winning run with a two out single off of Jason Motte.

Matt Holliday and Daniel Descalso each drove in two runs for St. Louis.

Game two is this afternoon as Kyle McClellan goes after win number six.

The Reds will counter with Johnny Cueto.

First pitch is set for 3:10.
