Four graduate students from Missouri University of Science and Technology have been killed in a traffic crash in central Missouri’s Miller County near the town of Iberia. All four were from India. The Highway Patrol says the driver lost control of the car and was sideways on the road when it was broadsided by truck. The driver of the car and a passenger in the truck were injured.

A fifth student, the driver, survived the crash, but was flown from the scene with serious injuries. The Highway Patrol report says the car the students were in went out of control, spun sideways on the road and was t-boned.

Two had just graduated with masters’ degrees on Friday; two others were to continue their studies.

Troopers say the people in the other car were not seriously hurt. The students were returning from a trip to the Lake of the Ozarks.
