The lawyer for a man who has admitted he defrauded investors out of five million dollars says his client has done the St. Louis Rams football team a favor.

The Rams have settled a civil lawsuit against businessman Joshua Gould, who will pay team owners $50,000 he owed under a sponsorship agreement, $38,000 for tickets he had not paid for and $41,000 for the use of a stadium suite. Gould’s lawyer says Gould was willing to settle to save the Rams the cost of continuing the lawsuit.
