A Columbia judge has refused to throw out the murder conviction of former Columbia policeman Steven Rios. Rios had claimed his lawyer was not effective during his trial. But the judge says Rios’ claims are “unbelieveable.” Rios is doing life plus 23 years for murdering a University of Missouri student in 2004.
