The state auditor’s swift assessment program team has moved in on the St. Louis school district to investigate allegations the auditor says are “serious.” 

Auditor Tom Schweich says the team will preserve relevant evidence. He says his office has heard allegations the district has inflated attendance figures so it could get more state money and appear to comply with the federal No Child Left Behind law.
