Pet airline to serve St. Louis

April 20, 2011 By Jessica Machetta

A new airline will be flying out of St. Louis soon — and you won’t be able to ride it. But your dog, cat, hamster, or other family critter can. Pet Airways is expanding its service for family pets to 14 cities, St. Louis included. It now serves ten. The company says the animals, which it calls “Pawsengers,” fly in the main cabin of the planes, not in the cargo hold.  Pet Airways says they’re checked continuously by an in-flight attendant.
