A secret group of investors has cancelled plans for a big horse arena and event center in Southwest Missouri’s Christian County. A real estate agent representing the group says the county planning and zoning commission put too many obstacles in the way of the development of 477 acres into a big arena, a lake, and condominiums.
Some of the people living nearby say the development was not compatible with the area and questioned why developers wanted to hide their identities.
