Police officers sometimes go shopping on the internet. And that can be bad for some sellers.
Online shopping has helped Kansas City police recover about 300 stolen tires and several sets of stolen rims. Investigators have talked to one person of interest and are looking for others that they think are part of a tire-stealing ring. Police think the ring might have been selling as many as 500 stolen tires a week online.
