Kyle McClellan allowed one run in six innings and added two RBIs of his own and Lance Berkman hit his first two homers as the Cardinals grabbed back-to-back wins for the first time this season in an 8-2 final at Arizona.

First, it was McClellan’s bat that got the Cardinals on the board in the third when he doubled home Yadier Molina who singled to start the inning. The Cards went up 4-0 an inning later after a RBI double from Skip Schumaker and RBI singles from McClellan again and Ryan Theriot.

The score remained 4-1 until the seventh when Berkman hit his first in the seventh. Then Berkman and Jon Jay went deep in the ninth.

McClellan picks up his first win as a starter going six innings, allowing one run on seven hits while walking four. He also struck out four. Bryan Augenstein was charged with a run in the seventh.

The Cardinals scored 15 runs in their first eight games, but have scored 14 in their last two wins.
