Facebook leads to sodomy charges in Nixa

April 5, 2011 By Jessica Machetta

Parents checking their son’s Facebook account have made discoveries leading to the arrest of a Nixa man who’s been charged with sodomy. Court records say Mark Evans offered the boy $1,500 on Facebook, and paid him $100 to let Evans perform oral sex on him.

Police say they contacted Evans through Facebook, pretended to be the boy, and asked for another meeting. Records say that Evans was arrested by a detective when Evans showed up at a motel.
