The state supreme court has reversed the methamphetamine possession conviction of a Rolla man. The court has unanimously ruled that the a bag of meth should not have been admitted at the trial of Matthew Grayson because it was improperly seized.

In a separate decision, the state supreme court says a man who pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in Franklin County is entitled to a new court proceeding. The man, Eric Webb, says he was misled by his lawyer about the minimum sentence he would have to service before becoming eligible for parole. Webb appealed his sentence after learning he actually would have to spend more than twice as much time in prison as he was led to believe.
