The city of Hazelwood has tried to keep a Girl Scout from selling cookies from a stand in the driveway of her home. The move hasn’t worked. The girl has sold the last 36 boxes of her cookies. But her mother says she came up about 300 boxes short of her goal of peddling 2,000 boxes.

The city says the stand violates city codes about selling products from homes. A Hazelwood spokesman says a neighbor had complained about high traffic volume and excessive dog barking when the girl was selling her cookies.
