A man from the central Missouri town of Linn has been sent to prison for 12 years for a meth fire that killed a neighbor.
Jonathan Tharp has pleaded guilty to arson. A murder charge has been dropped in return for the plea. The fire in his apartment killed a Clinton resident, Daniel Mittenburg, who lived in the adjacent apartment. Mittenburg was a student at Linn State Technical College. Another person accused of helping Tharp cook the meth faces a murder trial later.
