Ex cop gets 8 years for killing four while drunk

March 11, 2011 By Jessica Machetta

A former Sunset Hills policewoman who killed four people in a drunk driving traffic crash has gotten eight years in prison. Relatives of the four victims of Christine Miller say they are shocked by the shortness of the sentence.

Miller was off-duty and drunk when her car cross the centerline and hit an oncoming car head-on, killing four people inside it and seriously injuring a fifth person. Her blood alcohol level was almost triple the legal limit. The prosecutor had asked for 20 years and calls eight years “terribly inappropriate.”
