The widow of a St. Louis firefighter has won another $7 million in a suit against a company that made safety equipment for firefighters. Laura Morrison had originally settled her suit against Survivair for $3 million. But after the trial involving the wrongful death of another firefighter showed the company had hidden reports of defects in breathing equipment, she sued again.

Survivair, now owned by Spewrian Protection, has paid $50 million to the widows of the two men who died in the St. Louis fire in 2002 and to families of firefighters who died in other parts of the country.
