The Cardinals had a five run fifth inning, but Boston scored four in the 8th inning off Brandon Dixon, one of those young kids who is trying for a spot in the rotation to help the Red Sox beat the Redbirds 8-7. Albert Pujols, Matt Holliday and Lance Berkman each had RBIs in this game. I bet we’ll hear that quite a bit this season, where those three come through with RBIs.
Jaime Garcia got the start and went three innings allowing three earned runs on seven hits. He also walked three and struck out two. Garcia’s spring ERA is 5.40.
