Senator McCaskill is asking the Immigration Service to investigate what she calls “sham universities” that are allowing foreign nationals to avoid federal immigration laws by getting student visas.

She says the schools do not provide any discernable education but do collect “tuition” to let foreign nationals come into this country.

Her letter to the director of homeland security points to two businesses in California, one of which was set up to get student visas for Russian prostitutes and another that charged more than 1,500 foreign nationals $5,000 per semester without providing any education.
