Man allegedly goes to wrong hotel room, molests 9-year-old girl

Three child molestation charges and a sodomy charge have been filed against a man who convinced a St. Louis hotel clerk to give him a key to a room where three children were sleeping. The charges against Daniel T. Hughes say he was so drunk when he went to the hotel that he did not realize he was trying to enter the wrong room and convinced the desk clerk to give him a key to it.  He’s accused of molesting a 9-year-old girl. Police say two other children in the room slept through the incident. The room clerk reportedly has resigned.
