In his first game of the spring, Cardinals third baseman David Freese went 2-for-3 with three RBIs. After undergoing two ankle surgeries last season, Freese jumped back into action by driving in a run with his two-out single in the fourth, and adding two more RBI with a single in the sixth to lead the Cards to a 10-4 win over the Minnesota Twins.
Lance Berkman, who has soreness in his left calf and left elbow, went 1-for-3 with the one run scored. Jake Westbrook made his second start of the spring for the Cardinals, tossing 3 2/3 innings and allowing one run on four hits while striking out one.
