Former Missouri quarterback Chase Daniel spoke before the MU-KU basketball game and announced that he will make a donation to Missouri to begin a football scholarship in his name.
It will be called the Chase Daniel Lone-Star State Scholarship and it will be awarded annually to a player from Texas. Daniel said he laid out some guidelines with the university and his first choice is to award it to quarterbacks from the state of Texas, as well as players with at least a 3.0 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.
