Senior guard Caleb Brown scored a career-high 28 points to lead Austin Peay to a 76-60 victory over Southeast Missouri State in the quarterfinals of the Ohio Valley Conference tournament Thursday night.

The third-seeded Governors (20-12) advance to play second-seeded Morehead State in Friday night’s second semifinal game. Murray State and Tennessee Tech play in the first semifinal.

Brown carried Austin Peay, hitting 9 of 11 (including one 3-pointer) from the floor and adding nine free throws in 12 attempts. In addition to Brown, TyShawn Edmondson added 13 points and Josh Terry 11 for the Governors.

Austin Peay built a 41-32 halftime lead and never allowed the seventh-seeded Redhawks to get closer than six points in the second half.

Southeast Missouri State (10-22), which defeated sixth-seeded Eastern Kentucky in the opening round, was led in scoring by Anthony Allison with 24 points. Marcus Brister came off the bench to add 13 points for the Redhawks.
