A federal grand jury accuses an Arkansas man of visiting Springfield and Joplin to rob banks. The indictment accuses Robert Bruce Knepper of stickups at a Springfield bank a year ago, and of a Joplin bank last September that netted him almost one-half million dollars.
Knepper was arrested in Fort Smith, Ark. after a bag containing $166,000 was found behind a restaurant. Motel and car rental receipts let police to him at a nearby motel.
