Several tornadoes have been reported in the storms that blew through Missouri last night but it appears high straight-line winds caused most of the damage.  The weather service will be checking today north of Moberly to see if it was a tornado that destroyed a garage, damaged a home, and blew some cars and trucks off the highway.

 Funnel clouds were reported in the air in southwest Missouri’s Polk County as well as eastern Missouri’s Franklin and St. Louis Counties.  One funnel was seen in the air over St. Louis.
