Missouri State officials are expecting a standing room only crowd at JQH Arena on Saturday at Noon when the Bears (22-7) host Missouri Valley Conference co-leader Wichita State (23-6).
The game will decide the MVC regular-season champion and the No. 1 seed for next week’s State Farm MVC Tournament in St. Louis. Missouri State has never won an MVC regular-season title and never been the top-seeded team for Arch Madness.
Prior to Saturday’s game, JQH Arena with an official capacity of 11,000, has had two previous sellout crowds in its three-year history: The inaugural game at the facility on Nov. 22, 2008 against Arkansas and the Jan. 22, 2011 game this season against Creighton.
Saturday’s game against Wichita State will air live on ESPN2.
