The City of Cape Girardeau has told the Commender Premier airplane company to pay about $1.2 millon in back rent or leave the building it uses at the Cape Girardeau airport. The company president claimed more than a year ago that a Canadian investor was about to buy the company and make the back payments.
City officials say nothing has happened since. Commander Premier has two months pay up or it has to leave its building within 30 days. The city issued about 2.8-million dollars in bonds to put up the building for the company.
