St. Louis Ritz pays smoking fine

The first public place cited for violating the St. Louis county smoking ban has paid a $300 fine plus court costs of $20.50. 

The Ritz Carlton Hotel says it won’t violate the ordinance again, which could be bad news for the Cigar Club that meets there and holds its annual formal dinner and dance in the hotel ballroom.
