If you’re a fan of reality TV shows, you might remember Springfield businessman Aaron Buerge. He was the winner in the second season of the “Bachelor”  in 2002.

He has filed for personal bankruptcy protection, claiming he and his businesses are $7 million dollars in debt. His company owns a restaurant in Springfield and an office building.  Buerge is also the president of a Springfield bank. He says his problems have been aggravated by three banks that either have failed or are considered distressed.

He never married the girl he picked on the television show.
