The state  health department says you’re going to have to prove you are who you say you are when you ask for birth, death, marriage and divorce records.

As of the first of the month, you’ll need a photo ID. If you don’t have one, you’ll need two alternative forms of identification. If the request is made by mail it will have to be accompanied by a notarized statement.

One thing not changing is the fees. A birth, marriage, or  divorce record is $15; a death record is $13 dollars for the first copy and 10 dollars for each additional copy.
