Thanks to mother nature, the St. Louis Blues had a few extra days off during the All Star Break.  Five different players scored goals as the Blues beat the Edmonton Oilers last night at the Scottrade Center 5-3.

Not only was it the first game back for St. Louis, but also for Andy McDonald.  McDonald has been sidelined with a concussion since December.  He had missed a total of 24 games.

The Blues would get the scoring started in the first with a goal by TJ Oshie.  After Edmonton tied the game, Alex Pietrangelo would score to give the Blues a 2-1 lead.

In the 2nd, a power play goal by Matt D’ Agostini and another goal by Brad Boyes would give St. Louis a 4-1 lead.  The Oilers would come back with two goals of their own to end the period down by one.

The Blues would finish off the scoring in the 3rd with a goal by Brad Winchester.  The five goals scored by the Blues were the most since a game in early January.

St. Louis will now start a two game road trip to Florida.  It starts with a game tomorrow afternoon in Tampa Bay with a tilt against the Lightning.  St. Louis Blues game time is 2:00.
