I-70 closed in mid-Missouri

February 1, 2011 By [email protected]

The snow is overpowering some of Missouri’s major roads. The state transportation department has closed I-70 in three central Missouri counties: Boone, Cooper, and Callaway.

The department says I-44 in eastern Oklahoma, which also is I-44, will be closed for the next four day. The transportation department urges I-44 travelers headed to Oklahoma to pull off at Springfield, Mount Vernon, or Joplin–exits that have motels and restaurants.
