Mizzou Basketball faces a huge road challenge tonight as the nationally-ranked Tigers invade Austin, Texas, looking for their fourth consecutive win over the Texas Longhorns.  Missouri has won three consecutive games vs. nationally-ranked Texas teams.

Mizzou topped #15 Texas last season (82-77), #16 Texas (69-65) in Austin and #12 Texas (97-84) in Columbia in 2007-08.

Missouri (85.0) and Texas (77.1) are two of the nation’s top scoring clubs, as both teams rank among the nation’s top 30 in points per game.

Missouri is looking for its first road win over a Top 10 opponent since Feb. 20, 1994, at Kansas (81-74).  Missouri has defeated a number of ranked teams on the road under Mike Anderson’s watch, including a win at #16 Texas during the 2008-09 campaign.

Missouri is no stranger to facing a club currently ranked in the Top 25.  Mizzou owns wins over now #19 Vanderbilt (85-82 in OT) and #20 Illinois (75-64).  The Tigers also defeated #24 Kansas State (75-59) last week on ESPN Big Monday.  Mizzou suffered overtime setbacks to #13 Texas A&M (91-89) in College Station and #21 Georgetown (111-102) in Kansas City.

The Tigers and Longhorns will tip off tonight at 8:00.
