Missouri students doing well in science, says Nation’s Report Card

January 26, 2011 By Jessica Machetta

The National Assessment of Education Progress says Missouri students have done well this year in science.

The Nation’s Report Card put out by the organization says 40 percent of Missouri’s fourth graders who took assessment tests scored “proficient” or better. That’s eight points more than the national average. Thirty-six percent of eighth graders hit those marks — that’s seven points better than the national average for 8th graders.
