Leader of Cape dental-vision project might face criminal charges

January 24, 2011 By Jessica Machetta

The man who headed the aborted Cape Girardeau effort to build a vision and dental clinic is no longer with the company. Company officials are not saying if Weaver Dickerson was fired or if he resigned.

Dickerson’s criminal record caused the state to withdraw $2 million in state tax breaks for the project. The Stoddard County prosecutor tells the Cape Girardeau Southeast Missourian he’s still considering criminal charges against Dickerson.
