Missouri might lose a movie, because of tax credits.

The St. Louis native who filmed the movie “Up in the Air” in St. Louis had planned to return for his next film, but might go to Louisiana instead. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Michael Beugg wants to produce a Halloween-themed comedy called “Fun Size” in St. Louis, but has been promised only one million dollars out of a requested $4.5 million in state film tax credits requested. Beugg received slightly more than four million dollars in tax credits to shoot “Up in the Air” in St. Louis. Paramount Pictures is weighing its options.
