There is a new Ballpark Village plan in downtown St. Louis. Yesterday, Cardinals’ president Bill DeWitt and the team’s development partner, Cordish Co. out of Baltimore unveiled their plan in front of the city’s Downtown Economic Stimulus Authority. See the video.

The plans will include a 12-13 story building that will overlook Busch Stadium and will have offices and 100,000 square feet of retail space, along with a Cardinal’s National restaurant, Cardinals Hall of Fame and a space for outdoor events such as concerts.

The proposed layout of the building will only fill two of the seven city blocks on the 10 acre site. The rest would become parking lots with the possibility of development coming later.
