The St. Louis Cardinals add two more pitchers as they try and shore up their bullpen for the coming season.  The signings come as the Redbirds start the Winter Warm Up in St. Louis and the Cardinal Caravan throughout the state of Missouri.

On Friday, St. Louis signed Miguel Batista and Ian Snell.  Batista is a former 16 game winner with the Arizona Diamonbacks.  Snell is a former 14 game winner with the Pittsburgh Pirates and played last season for the Seattle Mariners.

Cardinal General Manager John Mozeliak says by signing the two veteran pitchers, depth will be added to the Cardinal rotation.

Cardinal pitchers and catchers will report to Florida to start Spring Training on Valentine’s Day.  The whole team will then report on February 19th.
