Wagner up to 3rd in voting for RNC chair

January 14, 2011 By [email protected]

Ann Wagner picks up more votes in her bid for the National Republican Committeee chairmanship. Wagner, who finished fifth in the first round of voting, rises to third in the third round. Wisconsin Republican Chairman Reince Priebus has led all three rounds but picked up only two more votes after the second round of voting and now has 54 of the 85 he needs.

Wagner started with 23 but now has 32, just one behind second place Michael Steele, the incumbent chairman. Steele’s number has been dropping since the first round.
