A Jasper County jury has convicted a man of lying to a hospital about a workplace injury.
The proescutror had charged Jeffrey Lynn Galardo guilty of fraudulently fillingout a questionairre at a Joplin hospital when he claimed to have had no previous injuries to his back or shoulder. Evidence showed he had claimed at least six previous injuries in the previous five years. The state charged he was trying to get workers comp benefits he wasn’t entitled to.
