A man from Ava is charged with shooting his mother-in-law three times with a 22-caliber rifle. Police say Robert Berry shot his mother in law twice in the jaw and once in the hand before running away. She has undergone surgery and is a medically induced coma.
Police say Berry also shot and killed her dog.
