St. Genevieve Army Sergeant Michael Beckerman has been killed by an improvised bomb in Kandahar province, Afghanistan. The Army says insurgents attacked his unit. Beckerman, who had been in the army for six years, was with the 101st Airborne, which is based at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
