Anti-smoking petition campaigns in two Missouri cities are going opposite directions.
A campaign has been launched in Fulton to throw out the city’s17-day-old anti-smoking ordinance. A businessman who says the ordinance is poorly written hopes to get 800 signatures to repeal the ordinance.
In Springfield, a petition campaigns is underway to put a smoking ban on the city ballot. It’s short by 400 signatures with ten days to go to get enough.
