The final rankings for the AFCA Division II Coaches’ Top 25 Poll were released with Missouri boasting three schools from our state in the top 25 including two in the top five.

David Nadeau’s 32-yard field goal as time expired gave No. 1 Minnesota-Duluth its second NCAA Division II national championship as the Bulldogs beat No. 2 Delta State (Miss.), 20-17. Minnesota-Duluth beat Northwest Missouri State in the semifinals. The Bearcats finish the season at No. 3. They are followed by No. 4 Albany State and No. 5 Central Missouri, who the Bearcats beat in the quarterfinals.

Along with No. 2 Delta State, three other teams, who were unranked in the final regular season poll, entered the Top 25 after making playoff appearances. Wingate jumps in at No. 20, North Alabama sits at No. 22 and Missouri Western State comes in at No. 24.
